"It is so nice to meet you and personally thank you even through email. The world we currently live in has changed tremendously and we are adapting to this new normal. I wanted to give you an update as to where I am today. As you can imagine, COVID made things difficult and the process to test for the state and get licensed took longer but I officially became a Registered Nurse in late October. It has been quite difficult to get a new grad position at a hospital due to COVID because they are looking to hire experienced nurses as they don’t have time to train for now. I just started working in Home Health as a Hospice Nurse which is amazing because I hold a special place in my heart for the elderly and I feel great fulfillment as a Nurse knowing that I made a difference in this most vulnerable population. This job works great for me because it gives me the flexibility I need to continue my education. This pandemic has caused some financial hardships but it will not stop me from reaching my goals and pursuing my Bachelors degree which I hope to be starting sometime this year. I wanted to thank you for believing and investing in me even though sometimes I no longer believed in myself. Your scholarship helped me tremendously and allowed for me to pay for my licensure exam and license. I can honestly say that without this help I would not have been able to take my state boards when I did and I would not be where I am today. Thank you for making a big difference in my life and helping me accomplish my dreams, I also hope to one day give back to my community as well."

I am so so glad to hear from you. Thank you for taking the time to give me an update on you and your RN position. I am thrilled to hear that you are working as a hospice RN. From my own experience, working in hospice has been very rewarding for me as well. I do hope to keep in touch with you and I am certain that you too would be the one to MAKE A DIFFERENCE.  BE THE DIFFERENCE.  Good luck to you and look forward to meeting you in person soon.
